Welcome to the SCHS Interactive Community!

In this companion membership website for SCHS members, you can edit your profile, renew your membership, and keep up with SCHS news and events.

If you are a current member, you may search the online private membership directory (log-in required) for other members in your area (great for carpooling to meetings or finding new friends with similar interests). More info to the right.

If this is the first time to log in as a current member, please enter the email you used when you joined SCHS, then click on the “Forgot Password” link below. In the next dialog, decipher the code and click Submit. A temporary password will be emailed to you, allowing you to log in. Feel free to change the password once you log in (under View Profile, on the left side).

To join SCHS as a new member, or to renew your existing membership, please visit our Membership Application page. Information on the various benefits of being a member can be found on the main Membership page.

To simply subscribe to our mailing list, please visit the Join our Mailing List page. (You do not need to join our mailing list if you are already a SCHS member.)

We will  be adding to the Forums and News pages in the upcoming months so you can share your knowledge about growing plants in Southern California. Stay tuned!

Private Member Directory

One of the benefits of being a member is being able to easily send a message to another member via our Private Member Directory. This directory can only be viewed by fellow members if they are logged in.

Check how your profile appears to others in this directory – and share ONLY what you are comfortable with! To do this, first log in, click the View Profile link (lower left), then select My Directory Profile.

You can easily update your profile and determine exactly what is shared with the directory: select the Edit Profile button at the top of the View Profile page. To control how much information you share with other members, select the Edit Profile > Privacy button: You can choose to turn off sharing completely, or decide on a field-by-field basis what information you wish to share. Options include Anyone (public), Members Only, or No Access. The default is to share with fellow members only your name and city, as well as whatever information you have entered in the optional “personal information” fields.
